We’re crazy about Alexander ”we’ve profiled him in a “10 Minutes With” column, and we’re super excited for you to read about a recent trip he took to Panama with 2013 Swedish Barista Champ Oskar Garberg, appearing in the upcoming April+May issue!

Alexander is no stranger to barista competitions: he was the Swedish Barista Champion in 2011!

In fact, the coffee he sourced there ”a natural processed geisha from Ninety Plus Gesha Estate near the town of Volcan ”was the coffee Alexander won with at this competition! His win at the 2014 Eastern Regional Swedish Barista Cup guarantees him a spot in the final round of the Swedish Barista Championship in May.

Alexander is quick to add that his colleagues from Drop Coffee in Stockholm were amazing on stage at the regional, too: Benjamin Norman placed 2nd and Linnea Vannesjö placed 3rd.

Congratulations to Alexander and all the talented baristas in the Eastern Region of Sweden who competed in this recent contest!
