œLast week’s strong auction results amidst an historically weak commodity coffee market underscores Brazilian farmers’ achievements in the advancement of coffee quality, said Vanusia Nogueira, Executive Director of the Brazil Specialty Coffee Association, in a press release. œWe were further delighted to see so many countries represented by buyers, which signals that Brazilian specialty coffees are becoming better known and more popular worldwide despite increased global competition from other origins.

Buyers from the United States, Europe, Asia, Australasia, and Brazil participated in the auction, which was held online on November 27.

Brazil has two COE auctions per year, one for early harvest and one for late harvest. Sundried natural coffees are showcased in the late harvest competition, which is underway right now. The online auction for the Late Harvest COE Brazil will take place on March 4, 2014.

Here’s a complete list of the results from the Early Harvest COE.

Bravo, Brazil!
