Happy mid-March, everyone! This year just keeps rolling along fast, or it seems that way because the many coffee events around the world are happening at a pretty fast clip! We’re trying to stay on top of it all and keep you informed of all the biggest news and exciting things taking place in our international coffee world.

On  Monday, Sarah was on the ground in Paris at the French Coffee Championships, where she was reporting on the French Barista Championship, the French Coffee In Good Spirits Championship, the French Latte Art Championship, the French Cup Tasters Championship, and the first ever French Brewers Cup. She shared photos from her adventures on the blog right HERE.

On  Tuesday, Ken posted a terrific article about the conversation he and the baristas on the Cafe Imports trip to origin had with a Kenyan coffee farmer recently. The insights the farmer shared about what it really means to be a small producer in East Africa were enlightening. Read all about it HERE.

On  Wednesday, it was time for our weekly trivia contest Humpday Giveaway! We put together some fun prizes for one lucky winner who needed to answer a question from the current issue of Barista Magazine. Check it out HERE!

On  Friday, we were excited to introduce you to James Klapp, who won second place in this year’s Northeast Brewers Cup. Formerly of Ultimo Coffee, and now working for La Colombe, James has an interesting background that contributes to his coffee career really well. Find out more by going HERE!
