Now you can download Coffee Scout for Android!

The Coffee Scout Project was conceived by our friend, coffee-fanatic, author and Google employee, Alon Havey. It’s a worldwide crowd-sourced map and app that finds local coffee shops around you (or anywhere you want to look) so that you can always find somewhere to go for a great cup.

The first build and app was for the Apple universe, as Alon said, it was because every coffee event he went to he saw almost everyone using an iPhone. But of course as a Google employee, there was no question Alon would build an Android version too, and well, it’s finally here!

The Coffee Scout Project is not about providing rankings or reviews for shops. But we encourage coffee shop owners, managers and baristas to add theirs, with relevant information on coffees, brewing, hours, amenities, and more, so that users can decide for themselves whether or not a visit is worth their time. And really, we just wanted to be able to find great independent cafés no matter where we went!

If your shop isn’t on the map yet, you can add it here! Just like the apps, it’s fast, easy, and free!

By the way, Alon has a special request for cafés in Paris, London, and Stockholm: He’d like to see more you listed! (Maybe he has a visit in the works?) We’d love to see you join Coffee Scout and help the project grow!
