SCAA Seattle: The Parties

Here is a list of some (but definitely not all) of that parties taking place during the SCAA show in Seattle that are open to everyone. See you soon!

THURSDAY

A  Thursday Night Throwdown  will held in conjunction with the SCAA’s Welcome Reception. Barista Magazine’s very own Kenneth Olson will be one of the judges in this event, which is always one of the most fun-filled and rowdy barista gatherings of the whole weekend.

Washington State Convention Center

Espresso Parts is also teaming with Caffe Ladro, Zoka Coffee, Espresso Supply, Baratza, JC Coffee Importers, Blue Tiger, Roast Magazine, Bonavita, and a few others on Thursday night for a huge party at Von Trapps.

FRIDAY

Cafe Imports and Barista Magazine are  hosting the Partly Sunny Party at  a super swank spot really close to the Convention Center. This will be a fun and friendly cocktail party to get you lubed up for the weekend. Talk to reps from Cafe Imports and Barista Mag for location info so you can come socialize with us and have appetizers and drinks!
5 “8 p.m.

The United States AeroPress Championship is going to be a big old party held at Stumptown Coffee’s roastery. Presented by Aerobie and Stumptown, this competition-slash-party will boast awesome microbrews and a killer challenge for the 20 AeroPress entrants, one of whom will win bragging rights, along with the national title and an all-expenses-paid trip to Rimini, Italy to represent the U.S. at the World AeroPress Championship in June! Sponsors of this party ”which is sure to be among the very best nights of the  entire event ”are Baratza and Barista Magazine.

Tony’s Coffee  is hosting a  Coffee Beer Social  at their cafe!

SATURDAY

An annual favorite, the Roasters Guild Party is hosted by Roast Magazine and will be held this year at World Sports Grille. Food and drinks and lots of fun!

Tony’s Coffee is hosting a Coffee Beer Festival at the Burgundian, a gastropub in Tangletown. Come to taste beers on tap from Stumptown, Kuma, Conduit, Tony’s Coffee, and many others!

SUNDAY

The Barista Guild of America’s annual party always closes out the whole SCAA show with a bang. This year’s event takes place at Trinity Nightclub and is open to everyone. Big ups to Dalla Corte, the official sponsor of this party! (over age 21 please).
