Now that's an art show!

My nephews, Josh and Jack, with Blazers rookie, Jeff Pendergraph. They'll probably all be tempted to drink more coffee thanks to the Fresh Pot's new art show!

Yes, many cafés have rotating art shows decorating their walls, but this one is really something else. Ok, so a lot of you aren’t necessarily Portland Trail Blazer fans or even sports fans, but I think we can all appreciate the ingenuity of an art show that focuses on a local subject and inspires so many to create their own pieces in celebration of it.

Michael Brooks, sometime Barista Magazine contributor and manager of the Fresh Pot, gave me a heads up about this a while ago, and this morning as I dropped by blazersedge.com to see what was the status with our players for tonight’s game against New Orleans, I saw a link up with photos of the Blazers Art Show at the Fresh Pot on Mississippi. You can see the flickr set of the show here.

All I can say is right on. Go Blazers!
