Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!

It was such an amazing final round of the WBC — no big mistakes, no spills, just pure professionalism. Here are the rankings:

6th Place: Stefanos, Greece

5th Place: Soren, Denmark

4th Place: Colin, Ireland

3rd Place: Scottie, Australia

2nd Place: Raul, Guatemala

and your 2010 WBC Champ MIKE PHILLIPS USA!!!!

The crowd gathered at the WBC Awards Ceremony

James Hoffmann with "The Envelope", i.e. the results!

All the WBC finalists assembled on stage: from left, Raul from Guatemala, Stefanos from Greece, Scottie from Australia, Soren from Denmark, Colin from Ireland, and Mike from USA.

And then there were three... from left, Raul from Guatemala, Scottie from Australia, Mike from USA

This photo was shot the moment it was announced that Raul from Guatemala won 2nd place, which meant Mike from USA won first.

Outgoing WBC Champ Gwilym Davies of the UK asks Mike some questions, like, hey, how do you feel about being the big man on campus now?

Mike tears up as he thanks his friends, coworkers , boss, and Mom and Dad.

And there they are, the six best competing baristas in the world. Bravo to all!

MIKE PHILLIPS WILL BE FEATURED ON THE COVER OF THE AUGUST/SEPTEMBER ISSUE OF BARISTA MAGAZINE, WHICH IS OUR COLLECTORS EDITION WBC ISSUE.

YEAH, YEAH, WE KNOW HE WAS JUST ON THE COVER IN APRIL/MAY, BUT WE ALREADY HAVE BIG PLANS IN THE WORKS FOR AN AMAZING COVER, A BIG INTERVIEW WITH DOUG ZELL OF INTELLIGENTSIA, INTERVIEWS WITH MIKE’S MOM AND DAD, AND MUCH MORE!

Lots of WBC love,
