Barista Party in San Diego!

As Ken prepares to leave for Bogota, Colombia, on Sunday to cover the World Barista Championship, I’m getting excited to head south to San Diego for Coffee Fest next week! After a few fleeting days of the sunshine us Portlanders live for, the rain is back and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Needless to say, the sunshine of San Diego sounds pretty awesome right about now!

Lovely San Diego, California.

Another reason to be excited to head down to San Diego? What is sure to be a killer party on Saturday, June 4! Hosted by Caffé Calabria and sponsored by Solutions Espresso Service and BaristaExchange.com, this gathering of baristas and coffee friends will feature kegs from Ballast Point Brewing Co. and pizza from Neapolitan Pizza—holla!

Our friends, Pizza and Beer.

The details:

Saturday, June 4, 8 p.m.

@Caffé Calabria 3933 30th St. San Diego, CA 92104—619-291-1759

Only five minutes from downtown San Diego. Take 6th Ave. north, turn onto University Ave. Stay on University Ave for 1.7 miles and turn left onto 30th St. Enter the cafe through the alley behind the building.

See you there!!
