Maybe you’ve noticed from my blog posts about it that we at Barista Magazine are REALLY excited about the U.S. Latte Art Championship set to take place in Boston next week. This is the first time the United States has had a latte art competition in the World Latte Art Championship model ”it’s so freakin cool!
A very hardworking team of organizers and sponsors has been working night and day to make sure that this premiere U.S. Latte Art Championship is as cool as it can be! Special thanks to Tara Shenson and Lara Gallagher of the SCAA; Skip Finlay of Dalla Corte; Sevan Istanboulian from Cafe Mystique Coffee; Lorenzo Perkins from Cuvee Coffee; Chris Elliott from Prima; Sonja Grant of Kaffismiðja Ãslands, the crew at Espresso Parts (Heather, Panda, Matt, Melissa), Richard Sandlin from the Bay Area Coffee Community, Emma Markland Webster of Monter Trucks, and especially Patrick Burns of Palace Coffee.

The competition will take place in the Activity Hall right alongside the U.S. Barista Championship, the U.S. Brewers Cup, the U.S. Cup Tasters Championship, and more. It’s gonna be sick!
