Happy one-step-closer-to-the-weekend, folks! And thanks to all of you who played our Humpday Giveaway contest yesterday.
This week for Humpday Giveaway, we were inspired by the wretched coffee we were served on the long flight back from the World Barista Championship in Melbourne, so we offered up an AeroPress and an Able Disk Fine from our friends at Prima, to give away to the winner of yesterday’s Humpday Giveaway. We want to help you conquer bad travel coffee, one AeroPress at a time.
Loads of you are telling us how much you enjoy our weekly coffee trivia/prize giveaway, and we couldn’t be happier! We intend to keep you in coffee trivia as well as great prizes indefinitely, so please do come back every Wednesday to play our contest.
OK, you’re saying, enough talk! Let’s get on to the winner! Great idea! So here goes…
We asked this question:
The 2014 World Barista Championship is set to take place in Rimini, Italy, June 9–12 of next year. When was the last—and only—time the WBC took place in Italy? Please name the year and the Italian city.
ANSWER: 2004, Trieste, Italy. The winner was a certain Norwegian you may have heard of named Tim Wendelboe.
So we gathered up the names of all of you who got the answer correct, typed out your names, put them all in a mug…
And I reached in and drew one name…
CONGRATULATIONS TO KATE FISCHER, WINNER OF THIS WEEK’S HUMPDAY GIVEAWAY!
And thanks again to all of you who played!
