We are super stoked that Barista Magazine will once again be a part of the La Marzocco Out of the Box event taking place in Milan, Italy, in October. La Marzocco started the Out of the Box series of intimate, anti-trade-show events six years ago by hosting the first Out of the Box at the same time as the mammoth HOST Milano show was taking place. HOST happens every other year, so Out of the Box Milan does, too. This will be the third Out of the Box Milan event.
And in true La Marzocco style, it will be the biggest, brightest, and more exciting Out of the Box to date. Details will be released bit by bit over the next few months, and I’ll be sure to share them all with you here. If you’re going to be in Milan for HOST, you have simply got to make time to attend some of La Marzocco’s Out of the Box, as well. And if you don’t care about HOST, you should still come to Out of the Box!
From October 17 “19, Out of the Box will take over a beautiful space in Milan’s hip and happening design district, at via Bugatti 7, Zona Tortona, Milano. Art will be mixed with technology, music with espresso brewing, dancing with discussions. La Marzocco’s plan is to turn everything you know about coffee culture on its end and regard it from a new perspective, which will be heightened by the presence of some speakers and participants who do not have to do with coffee professionally, but bring other elements that are critical to the sustainability of specialty coffee and its culture.
I have two speakers to reveal today, and they’re sure to entice you into making your travel plans for Milan in October if you haven’t already…
