No you didn’t because everything is right here. So if you’re in the U.S., we hope you can kick back and relax, and enjoy your holiday weekend a little bit by catching up with the BMag blog, and if you’re not in the U.S., we hope you too have a great Sunday and that many holiday weekends are in your future. Now, enough with the chit-chat and on with the links!

First up we had a story about DaVinci Gourmet and its incredible work on behalf of the great nonprofit Coffee Kids. In the eight years the company has been supporting the organization, it has raised more than $1 million! That’s fantastic! And you can read about it here:

Then we had our weekly trivia contest for fun and prizes that we call Humpday Giveaway! This week’s prizes came all the way from MICE  in Melbourne, Australia and included drinking chocolate from Mörk Chocolate  and a customized  SIP imports  cup and saucer!

Espresso machine manufacturer La Marzocco is often at the cutting edge of design and education, but in 2015 they’re really taking it to the next level with their amazing new project at their headquarters in Florence, Italy. You can read about it here:

Then we had another entry in our popular “10 Minutes With” series where we have brief interviews with folks around the globe who are doing interesting things in the great world of specialty coffee. This time we talk to Louisville, Ky.’s Kenny Smith who is wholesale lead at  Sunergos Coffee.

Chad Bledsoe, a Portland, Ore. barista and coffee pro launched a  new project, a coffee subscription program called  My Coffee Box. We talked with him about it  to learn more. My Coffee Box is unique in that Chad has designed it to function interactively with the subscriber, meaning that the consumer provides feedback after each delivery that helps Chad design the next box around the consumer’s tastes and preferences.  Read more about it here:

So it was another busy week for us, and we hope you enjoyed reading what we wrote! Have a great, safe and fun Memorial Day! And check back all this week for more great stories, contests, and news!
