Half Pounds for Half Batch – A Fundraiser for Adam Koehler

Sightglass Coffee Hosts  Half Pounds for Half Batch – A Fundraiser for Adam Koehler Tomorrow in San Francisco

Half Pounds for Half Batch - A Fundraiser for Adam Koehler
Stop by the Sightglass Coffee location on 7th St. in San Francisco Saturday, October 17, for the Half Pounds for Half Batch fundraiser for Adam Koehler.

As many of you know, Green Coffee Buyer and overall jokester Adam Koehler was critically injured by a drunk driver while riding his bike. And the outpour of love and support for him has been outstanding–the GoFundMe account to help offset his hospital costs has almost hit $44,000 dollars, and his hospital room is constantly flooded with visitors, friends, and loved ones.

Adam has made amazing progress over the last few days (he’s been moved from the intensive care unit and some people swear he’s waved at them or given them a thumbs up), but there’s still a lot of work to do, and the road to recovery won’t be easy. You can continue to help by attending the benefit, Half Pounds for Half Batch, hosted by Sightglass Coffee  Saturday, October 17th.

Sightglass will be selling half pounds of coffee  to raise funds for Adam’s recovery. Donated by a number of roasters and importers, all the proceeds raised by selling the coffee will go to the continued effort to help Adam and his family shoulder the burden of medical bills. Bags will be on sale for $15.

Coffee for the event has been donated by an all-star lineup of Bay-Area coffee roasters including  Equator Coffee, Fourbarrel Coffee Roasters, Sightglass Coffee Roasters, Counter Culture Coffee, Linea Caffe, Blue Bottle Coffee, Ritual Coffee Roasters, Timeless Coffee Roasters, Flying Goat Coffee, Máquina Coffee Roasters, Roast Co., and Royal Coffee has donated a bag of green coffee too! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated!

Additionally, from 5-8 on Saturday, Sightglass will be hosting a party on behalf of the benefit where you can keep buying more coffee, enter a raffle for prizes, and share a beer with friends. All proceeds will also go to Adam’s medical fund.

Sightglass Coffee  is located at 270 Seventh Street, San Francisco. We hope to see you there! And, as always, live long and prosper!
