Let’s Play Barista Magazine’s Humpday Giveaway! #49 (February 12, 2014 Edition)

Happy Humpday, everyone! We are officially at the mid-way mark in this week. That means a lot of things, including that we’re even closer to the start of the Big Western Barista Competition happening in Los Angeles Feb. 21 “23!

Since we were thinking about barista competitions, our pals at the amazing company, Café Imports, came to mind, of course. Café Imports is responsible for just about the biggest thing barista competitions in the United States have going for them: the opportunity for the winners to go on an all-expenses-paid trip to coffee origin. For serious! Café Imports has been doing this since 2011, taking the winners of all 6 regional barista competitions in the United States, plus the U.S. Barista Champ, plus the World Barista Champ, to a coffee producing country for a week (or sometimes more) of education, barista bonding, adventure-having, and memory making. They’ve taken baristas to Brazil, Costa Rica, Kenya, and this summer, they’ll take the 2014 Regional, U.S., and World champs to Ecuador? Say whaaaa? It’s crazy bomb.

At Café Imports' Minneapolis headquarters, Adrienne models the new tshirt (ladies style), that two winners will receive for this week's Humpday Giveaway. And there's the poster they'll also win hanging behind her!

Café Imports is stepping up to the plate for Humpday Giveaway to spread some education and style ”two things they do the best ”out to those of you playing Humpday Giveaway this week. There will be not one by TWO winners this week, from anywhere in the world, and you’re gonna get two amazing prizes: a poster of the coffee varietal tree that Café Imports created that everyone is buzzing about, and one of Café Imports’ hot-off-the-presses new tshirts, which come in black for the dudes, baby blue for the ladies.

That’s such a cool prize! You can snazz up your cafe, or roasting room, or training space, or heck, even your bedroom, with this gorgeous poster, and memorize the varietals in style wearing your super comfy new tshirt! Dope!

You could stare at this poster for hours and continue to be amazed. We love ours in Barista Mag's office.

Also, I trust you mean drawing on February 13, not February 6 as indicated in your blog… There ought to be a more intelligent cut and paste which updates pertinent data…

I lived in Kenya for a couple months and found Dormans and Nairobi Coffee House coffees worth having. Check them out if you’re ever in that part of the world!
