Northwest Latte Art League Makes a Sweet Saturday Night

Editor’s note: Barista Magazine is thrilled to be the media sponsor of the newly formed Northwest Latte Art League. The League’s first event took place during Coffee Fest Seattle in October, and the second one was Saturday at Broadcast Coffee in Seattle. Organizer Cole McBride sent some great photos from the event, along with some news about how things went…

“The second event went really well and it’s obvious that the coffee community in the NW is growing,” Cole says. “We had at least 10 competitors come out that had never been to a coffee event before. Broadcast Coffee was completely packed with [around] 70 people. Barry, the owner, did an amazing job setting up the space to have a competition in. Our three winners were:

1st  Maxwell Mooney from the Spotted Cow

2nd  Chad Bledsoe from Case Study

3rd  Erin Wallets from Top Pot

The event was a total success. Everything ran smoothly and the judging was very fair. Our judges were Panda, Anna Gutierrez, and Ryan Wilbur.”
