Snuggle Up for Valentine’s Day!

We like the way our friends at Café Grumpy in NYC define  what Valentine’s Day means: Snuggling with a sweet dog or cat, especially one who needs a home and love, is one of the best signs of love we know. So we’re thumbs up excited that Café Grumpy is hosting Valentine’s Day Pet Snuggle & Adoption Awareness with Sean Casey Animal Rescue on Saturday, February 14, at their 13 Essex Street, Lower East Side location. That’s where we would be if we were on the East Coast for sure.

Cats and dogs will be on hand with available snuggles. If it’s a match made in heaven, then you can even adopt your new cuddle-bug. The event will also feature limited-edition mugs designed by Mishka, and damn relish doughnuts from Heirloom Vegan Eatery, as well as cat paintings by Jess Doutrich.

The two cats and two dogs that Ken and I have ”who are all very hard-working members of the Barista Magazine staff, of course ”all came from various humane societies in Oregon and Washington. We can’t  imagine our lives without them, and we can’t speak highly enough of agencies like the Sean Casey Animal Rescue that bring people together with homeless animals for everyone’s benefit.

Thanks for doing this, Café Grumpy. Have a wonderful, snuggly Valentine’s Day!
