UK Barista Championship Results!

The United Kingdom hosts what is consistently one of the best and most competitive national barista championships in the world, producing champs that go on to do quite well on the international level, and even win, as was the case with James Hoffmann in 2007 and Gwilym Davies in 2009.

The 2014 UK Barista Championship has just finished at the London Coffee Festival, and here are the results:

WINNER: Maxwell Colonna Dashwood. Score:  669.5

2nd place: Dale Harris. Score: 643

3rd place: Estelle Bright. Score: 634

4th place: John Gordon. Score: 623.5

5th place: Joe Meagher. Score: 593

6th place: Don Altizo. Score: 592.5\

Winner Maxwell, who is the co-owner of Colonna & Small’s Specialty Coffee in Bath, England ”was the UK Barista Champion in 2012, where he went on to take 6th place in the World Barista Championship.Maxwell will represent the United Kingdom at the World Barista Championship in Rimini, Italy, in June.
