Thailand is an extraordinary place filled with so much to see, eat, drink, and experience. In the southern region of the country, there is the province of Phuket, known for its lush beaches, Phuket Big Buddha statue, soft sands, fresh fruit, and so much more. It is also here where some truly remarkable cafés have set up shop, serving exceptional coffee to the endless array of people from all around the world who come to enjoy the city.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor who happens to find yourself in this vibrant corner of the world, here are four coffee shops in Phuket, Thailand, that are worth visiting.
Momus

Phuket is made up of many different areas that you must see and explore, whether it be Kata Beach to surf, or Patong to see some nightlife—but one essential locale, especially for coffee, is Old Town. Bustling streets, historic buildings, and ceramics shops: Old Town has it all. It is also here where Momus is situated, a cool oasis to retreat to after wandering around the hot streets.
Operating since 2022, Momus is located along Phangnga Road and has a cozy interior with brick, dark wood, and delicate lighting. Baristas kindly greet you with a smile as you enter, and the menu is complex, offering espresso-based drinks and unique specialty beverages: exquisite coffee and matcha concoctions.

The coffee shop also offers a variety of gorgeous, house-baked cakes and a lovely food menu with an array of toasts and bowls to choose from. This shop is the perfect place to rest for a while and drink some quality single-origin coffee from all over the world, as well as locally grown coffee roasted by the Momus team themselves.
Graph

Right next door to Momus is another must-visit café: Graph. With many other locations throughout Thailand, Graph was started in 2009 in Sangkhlaburi within the Kanchanaburi province, just 340 kilometers outside of Bangkok. Over the next couple of years, the shop would grow in popularity, especially amongst Western visitors. In 2012, Graph relocated to Chiang Mai, the coffee capital of Thailand.
Over time, the business only continued to grow, allowing the shop to start buying beans directly from producers in 2016, and eventually open up 12 other branches across Thailand. The Phuket location was opened in 2022 and is constantly busy, with plenty of people snapping photos of the gorgeous drinks. Graph is an amazing enterprise, roasting their own coffee, offering educational tools for the industry, and spearheading specialty-coffee development in Thailand.

Graph’s Phuket location is tiny but exquisite—the cement walls, wooden spiral staircase, chic furniture, and low-hanging lights bring a sense of zen and comfort after a day in the sun. On the menu are many options to choose from: Perhaps select an iced pourover, served to you on a wooden platter with a card explaining where the coffee comes from. Graph is truly a must-try spot, but make sure to come early and grab a seat because it’s always full!
Asterisk Espresso

Opened in 2018, Asterisk is another must-visit coffee shop in Phuket. Hidden along a quiet street less encumbered by tourists, on the first floor of the Bedline Hotel, this café is home to the2025 Thailand National Barista Champion Kittipop Eangchoun. Here, coffee is brewed with precision and care—an ethos of excellence that is reflected in each of their offerings.

Stop by this peaceful café and order some espresso or an iced latte to sip inside as you gaze outside of the large windows to watch the Phuket traffic fly by. There are also plenty of options to choose from: grilled sandwiches, croissants, slices of cake, and other delectable treats. This is a great shop to see some true barista skills (amongst the best in Thailand) at work, and you can choose from a variety of coffees from around the world, including varieties local to Thailand.
Sixory

Also known as Introvert’s Specialty Coffee, Sixory Coffee serves as an excellent finale for your time in Phuket. Nestled in Old Town, the shop has a humble sign welcoming you into their space. The calm blues and grays upon entry cool you down after a day of wandering around town. The menu is expansive, and all the coffee is roasted in-house.
Opened fairly recently in March of 2023, this café exudes excellence and is wonderfully chic. Their menu offers coffees from all over the world, including Yemen, Laos, and, of course, Thailand. Try a pourover and sit at the bar to watch it being brewed.

Sixory Coffee’s founder and owner, Sivarit Tipayapongtada, shares his excitement for the growth of the specialty-coffee world in Phuket. “The specialty-coffee scene in Phuket is flourishing, with a notable increase in cafés dedicated to high-quality beans and brewing techniques,” he says. “(The coffee scene here) combines modern coffee culture with the island’s unique charm, (and this is) particularly evident in Phuket’s Old Town.”
When discussing his own shop, Sivarit shares his hopes to provide a serene space for the surrounding community. “It’s (meant to be) a tranquil space for introspection and deep conversations, where the aroma of coffee blends with reflections on life, family, and society,” Sivarit says. “It offers a peaceful retreat for introverted individuals to enjoy quality coffee and explore their thoughts.”
Sivarit also explains how there’s been an increasing interest in specialty coffee amongst visitors to Phuket, leading the specialty-coffee scene to blossom in this region of Thailand. “Phuket’s specialty-coffee landscape is evolving, marked by a heightened focus on quality, diversity, and customer education,” he says.
With its impressive array of coffee varieties, precise brewing methods, and welcoming atmosphere, Sixory’s love for specialty coffee shines brightly: the perfect space to sip on a quality beverage and reflect on your time in Phuket.
