Podcasts are seemingly made for baristas ”how cool is it to listen as you clean up at the end of a shift? We at Barista Magazine do most of our podcast listening while driving or taking our dog on walks. However you do it, podcasts ”especially ones tailor made for the coffee community ”almost always make for an entertaining listen.
Our old pal Levi Andersen just emailed about a new episode he posted to his relatively new and really great pod case, Audio Cafe. Levi jumped into the show head first with an intriguing discussion about water quality, then launched a three-part series on customer service. His next podcast ”an interview with incoming SCAA president (and Barista Magazine’s very own business columnist) Tracy Allen ”was super popular with listeners.
He’s interviewed such trend-setting folks as Cole McBride of Visions Espresso; Jesse Nelson and John Liberty of Conduit Coffee; and others.
He says he intends to keep pushing boundaries in discussion about hot coffee topics, like finding a great roaster, how to source green coffee, and even issues surrounding tea service. Interview subjects will continue to be industry leaders: managers, baristas, cafe owners, roasters, coffee producers, and even chefs.
Check it out! We think you’ll dig it.
