On July 26, Barista Nation Denver will kick off with big-name presenters and topical workshops ”all for free
I wrote a bigger post about Barista Nation Denver recently here on Barista Magazine’s blog, but I wanted to revisit the topic because the event is soon enough that people ”I include myself here ”are getting really excited about it, and is still far enough away that there’s still time to plan on attending.
Barista Nation Denver will take place in Denver, Colo., at an awesome space called Galvanize on July 26. Anyone and everyone in coffee is invited to participate in the awesome discussions, lectures, and workshops being offered for free throughout the day and evening.
The day following Barista Nation will be the first ever Barista Nation Boot Camp. This event has been a long time coming ”Barista Nation organizer Anastasia Chovan wanted to give attendees who wanted more intimate, specialized training an opportunity to get really down and dirty on a coffee topic. This first Barista Nation Boot Camp will focus on manual brew methods, and be taught by great instructors, including Andy Sprenger, 2x United States Brewers Cup Champion, at Andy’s new roasters, Sweet Bloom, in Denver. The cost for Boot Camp is just $50.
As for Barista Nation proper, tons of experts are coming together from around the country ”seriously, they’re coming from as far east as Maine and as far west as Seattle ”to share knowledge and perspectives with coffee professionals in the M0untain region.
I’m super stoked that I’ll be leading a panel discussion, œPulling the Trigger: Successful Coffee Business Owners Reflect on Their Own Start-Up Experiences with such experts and veterans of start-up businesses Andy Sprenger of Sweet Bloom; Greg Lefcourt of Ozo Coffee; Jeremy Kuempel of Blossom; and Jacob Ellul-Blake of Pantechicon Design. Everyone is invited to sit in and hear what these experienced cafe owners, inventors, and designers have to say about the dos and do NOTs of starting your own business.
Finally, Barista Nation will end with a great contest called the Idea Throwdown. Participants will take a turn pitching start up concepts at a panel of judges, for the chance to win big money!
All of this and more is in store for anyone who wants to benefit from this collection of brains and talent that is set to descend on the beautiful city of Denver on July 26. Want to register? Just go HERE.
And I can’t wait to see you all in Denver!
I’m looking VERY forward to this event – See you in Denver!
