When Mike Phillips of Intelligentsia won the United States Barista Championship a week ago, he walked away with some sweet prizes. Among them was a certificate to attend the amazing, awesome, groundbreaking, uber fun event THE NORDIC BARISTA CUP!
Donated by the Nordic Barista Cup Foundation, this certificate entitled Mike to attend all workshops and gatherings and secret fun events and meals at the 2009 Nordic Barista Cup, which is being held in Reykjavik, Iceland. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the Nordic Barista Cup is one of the most wonderful events in the global coffee industry ”it brings people from all over the world together in an intimate setting to play with coffee and reinvent their roles as coffee professionals.
