We’re counting down the days until the start of the La Marzocco Out of the Box event in Milan, Italy, October 17 “19. Held in conjunction with the ginormous Host Milan hospitality show, this Out of the Box will be La Marzocco’s most extraordinary to date, with a huge emphasis on the marriage of design and technology. To punctuate the theme, La Marzocco organizers have decided to hold the event in the heart of Milan’s bustling design district.
Design, art, and function will be embodied at Our of the Box not only by location and design of the space, but by the speakers themselves. While plenty of coffee industry experts will be on hand to address pertinent issues, leaders in the fields of art, mechanics, music, interactive media, and more will join the discussion to examine what it is to be La Marzocco from all possible angles.

Today’s announcement of additional speakers is as follows:
Sven Hoffmann, graphic artist and photographer, has traveled and worked around the world for over 15 years, collaborating with world renowned international firms, including Red Bull as Creative Director for five years. He currently heads a design studio, DESIGNBÃœRO SVEN HOFFMANN, based in Hamburg, Germany, which is devoted to the brands and products the studio esteems most in a quest for the simple, the unique.
Raffaele Sangiovanni in his youth began working for an advertising agency, then moved to publishing where his professional career in mass media had its start. In 2000, he became marketing and distribution director of MTV Italy and La7, contributing to building the brand’s reputation and value; indeed, he took MTV to the streets with high-impact events, including live shows with world renowned international musicians. He worked as well with start-ups, creating MTV Greece, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central in Italy. In 2009, Raffaele became General Manager of Playmaker 360 °, MTV’s production company, organizing large events and television programs. He made his debut in this role producing the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin as well as U2’s concert at the Brandenburg Gate. In 2012, he left MTV for his own start-up, opening Taglio, a coffeeshop, food store, and much more.
Maurizio Ridolfo began his career in rap in 1992 as Rido MC. Since 1997 he has published an album and an EP, and has collaborated with a series of Italian and international musicians. In addition to his musical career, he is a journalist for a variety of magazines, including Rolling Stone. He conceived, wrote, and conducted Rapture which was on All Music until 2009. He is currently responsible for the format and contents of the production house, Except, and works with television broadcasts and companies. He has collaborated with musical festivals and events, including: Nokia Trends Lab, Bicycle Film Festival Milano, Jazz Re:Found, Goa-Boa, Gusto Dopa al Sole, Red Bull BC One Italia, Battle of The Year, SoundClash, World Hip Hop Dance Championship, Mei (Meeting Etichette Indipendenti), IDA (International DJ Association), Tecniche Perfette. While his principal passion is music, in recent years he has developed an overwhelming appreciation for bikes and cycling as a means for transportation, objects of art and communication, both as a sport and lifestyle.
