European Coffee Awards Honors La Marzocco’s Piero Bambi

The last few months of 2013 have been good to Piero Bambi, the beloved heart of La Marzocco. The boutique espresso machine company’s Honorary President, Piero was surprised with a replica of La Marzocco’s original Alfa Romeo van at La Marzocco Out of the Box in October. And on Thursday, he was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual European Coffee Awards, which took place in Paris, France.

Criteria for the Lifetime Achievement Award include “achievement of significant results that benefit the coffee industry as a whole, genuine passion, ethics, and length of genuine service.”

Also at the European Coffee Awards, in the category of Best Coffee Equipment Supplier, La Marzocco was nominated as well as La Cimbali and Nuova Simonelli. For the second year in a row, La Marzocco won in this category.
