Welcome to the second installment of Barista Magazine’s Humpday Giveaway Contest, which we premiered to great excitement just last week! Last Wednesday, we posed a question here on Pasteboard: who won the NERBC in 2008? Seventeen of you got the answer right: It was Amber Sather! So we entered those 17 folks in a drawing (literally — we had all the names on slips of paper, and we pulled two winners out of Publisher Ken Olson’s Portland Trail Blazers hat). Bryan Wray of Compass Coffee and Brandon Paul Weaver of Slate Coffee were the lucky winners of limited edition t-shirts from Irish Barista Champ, Colin Harmon’s Dublin cafe, 3FE! We mailed the shirts right off to those guys, and boom: Humpday Giveaway Contest #1 was a success!
Like we said last week, we’re planning on hosting a trivia contest/awesome prize giveaway every single Wednesday (well, except the occasional Wednesday when we’re both out of the office and unable to do it). All you have to do is answer the question right, and your name will be entered into the drawing to win!
We’re amassing terrific prizes to be giving away — some of the coolest new barista tools, books, t-shirts, and more. For this week though, we thought we’d go old school and offer A ONE-YEAR SUBSCRIPTION TO BARISTA MAGAZINE as the prize to not one, not two, but three lucky winners! (If you already have a subscription, we’ll just add a year. Or you can give your subscription to a friend.)
Now, here’s the question. (Keep in mind that you may often find the answer to the question in the current issue of Barista Magazine… and if you don’t have a copy in front of you, you can always flip through the whole issue for free online HERE)
Here we go…
WHERE WAS BMAG FEBRUARY/MARCH COVER WOMAN KATIE CARGUILO’S FIRST JOB IN COFFEE?
Know the answer? Then leave it here as a comment, or leave it on our Facebook, or our Twitter (@baristamagazine) ”wherever you do it, do it before midnight tonight (PST). We’ll enter all the people with the correct answer in a drawing tomorrow, and announce which 3 people win a subscription to Barista Magazine for a whole year!
