Happy Humpday everyone! You thought we were going to forget about you guys because we’re at the SCAA show in Boston? Not a chance! The SCAA is fun and all, but only a teensy tiny percentage of the people that Barista Magazine serves are going to SCAA. Most of Barista Magazine’s readers are hard working baristas and cafe owners who are working bar at their coffeehouses, and we want to let you know that we love you! We salute you! Happy Humpday to each and every one of you!
Do we have a great prize this week or what?? Thanks to our friends at Prima, this week’s Humpday Giveaway prize is…
Wow! Thank you, Prima! Everyone loves a Clever, and this one is the baby size ”perfect! Plus, you get some quality Melitta filters to go with it. Now we’re talkin’!
So you guys know how this works: we ask a question (whose answer can be found in the current issue (April/May 2013) of Barista Magazine; if your copy hasn’t arrived yet in the mail, you can read it all online for free HERE!). You guys post the answer to this blog. Everyone who gets the answer right gets entered into a drawing. We will draw a name from a hat tomorrow, Thursday, and around 10 a.m., we’ll announce the winner of this superduper prize from the amazing team at Prima!
Sound good? OK, let’s do this thing:
QUESTION: What is the name of the rust resistant variety of coffee created by Cenicafe Colombia’s coffee research center?
You’ll find loads of information and different articles about coffee-leaf rust in the April/May issue of Barista Magazine. Sadly, this terrible plague to coffee trees is big news right now, and we want you to have all the information you need to run your business. Luckily, there are dedicated scientists, green buyers, importers, associations, producers, and others working around the clock to find a solution to coffee-leaf rust. Cenicafe is one of them.
Thank you for playing Humpday Giveaway, guys!
