It’s unbelievable the way people create art from coffee ”and we’re hardly just talking about the brew. I just learned about LAMPADA, which is an Etsy shop owned by Vilma Silveria Farrell of New York City.Originally from Brazil, Vilma worked as a journalist and an artist in her home country before coming to the United States to be a stay-at-home mom.

Vilma creates unique lamps from recycled coffee filters.

But she’s a pretty busy mom ”she’s continuing her LAMPADA work via her Etsy store, selling devastatingly beautiful lamps that she creates from recycled coffee filters!

Vilma worked as an artist in her home country of Brazil before moving to New York City. She continues her unique style of recoiling coffee filters into art pieces through her Etsy store.

“Rather than putting a pen to paper to write a story, I put on my artisan’s hat and dive into the stains of the coffee filters and ideas that make each of my lamps an earth-friendly, original work of art,” she says. “Assembling lighting transforms my state of mind. All I have is my hands and my inspiration… My inspiration comes from Brazil, land of dark coffee, rich spices and muita alegria.”
