Look out, France: Aida’s Coming

As a special treat for attendees to the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe‘s World of Coffee event in Nice, France, June 26 “28, Café Imports presents coffee producer Aida Batlle of El Salvador, who will lead a cupping of coffees from farms certified by Aida Batlle Selection (ABS).

Café Imports’ Noah Namowicz and Gabe Dunn will be on hand at the cupping to answer questions from attendees, as well; Cafe Imports is the exclusive importer of ABS coffees throughout the world (excepting the United States and Japan).

There will be multiple processing variations of microlots from El Majahual and Finca Buenos Aires, sourced and processed by J. Hill/Aida Batlle. Some of the processing styles represented will be traditional washed, Kenya washed, Ethiopia washed, pulp natural, and natural. There will also some exciting fresh crop Café Imports spot coffees from various origins that are currently warehoused in London.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity to meet coffee professionals from all over Europe at this SCAE cupping,” says Aida, who will be available for questions at the event, which takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, at the Acropolis Exhibition Centre in Nice where the SCAE is being held. “I have worked extremely closely with the producers of these coffees from El Salvador’s Santa Ana region, and am proud to put the Aida Batlle Selection certification on them.”
