Meet the ROK, Tomorrow’s Amazing Humpday Giveaway Prize

I’ve been chatting with Nick from Importika over the past few weeks about a pretty spectacular product Importika is distributing in the United States: the ROK Espresso Maker. I think it’s so cool.

The ROK retails for $199.00, but someone's going to win one for Barista Magazine's Humpday Giveaway tomorrow!

The ROK is a manual espresso machine made by ROK Kitchen Tools, and Importika just recently partnered with ROK Kitchen Tools so they could bring the ROK Espresso Maker to the U.S. and Canada. The ROK has gotten really popular, really fast overseas, so it’s likely you’re all going to think it’s awesome, too.

The ROK is made from engine grade metal, which comes with a 10-year warranty.

Imagine making coffee in your hotel room on this thing: it’s non-electric and super durable (it’s made from engine grade metal (and all metal components are supported by a 10-year warranty), rubber, and plastic. It’s also super easy to travel with, since the ROK only weighs 6.7 pounds. You’ll need a kettle to heat water, of course, but the storage tin that the ROK comes in contains all the other accessories you’ll need: a coffee scopp which doubles as the ROK’s tamper; a stainless steel manual milk frother (milk must be preheated); and a splitter spout (the ROK’s portafilter is a single spout, and this attachment splits the stream of espresso).

Pack it all up in this super luxe tin and you're set to travel with espresso at your fingertips.

The portafilter diameter is 49 mm.

So you guys, can you believe it? The ROK Espresso Maker is tomorrow’s prize for Humpday Giveaway! This baby retails for $199.00 ”but one of you lucky winners will get it just for playing Humpday Giveaway! That’s amazing! Thanks, Importika!

Here’s a video to show you exactly how it works…
