Barista Magazine Publisher Ken Olson is excited to be headed to Minneapolis to attend the Big Central Regional Barista Competition, which kicks off tomorrow. Not only will the South Central and North Central Barista Competitions take place from Oct. 25 “27, but so will the North Central and South Central Brewers Cup Competitions.
And we’re especially excited to say that both Skip Finley of Dalla Corte and Sonja Grant will be at the event to talk about and introduce the United States Latte Art Championship format to attendees to the event. Be sure to find out more from Skip and Sonja what that’s all about!

Here are the schedules for the Barista and Brewer’s Cup competitions. Notice the North Central and South Central Brewers Cups take place on separate days, and the final round will be on Sunday. The South and North Central Barista Comp looks totally mixed together and I admit I am am totally confused by the new format. I’m listing competitors for days 1, 2, and 3, and then the winner will be announced right after this round takes place. I think.
