The Best Parties and Activities Going on in Seattle During the 2015 SCAA Event
It’s finally here ”the 2015 Specialty Coffee Association of America’s annual conference and expo, and with it, the World Barista Championship, taking place in the United States for the first time since 2009! What better American city for all of this to go down than beautiful Seattle, Wash., a world-renowned specialty-coffee mecca boasting some of the best cafés in the world, a heavier industry history than any other metropolis in the country, and some of the best baristas (last year’s United States Barista Champion Laila Ghambari, anyone?) and cuppers (2014 U.S. Cup Tasters Champion Amanda Juris, you don’t say?) anywhere.
We’ve put together our picks for the most exciting things going on over the next few days, from special activities around the show floor, to all the best parties in the evening. What we’re not listing here is the booths at the show that we hope you’ll check out, simply because there are too many to list! We encourage you to give yourself a hefty chunk of time to wander the show for yourself to see all the awesomeness!
