Brandon made a film about his experience in El Salvador with Aida ”it’s pretty remarkable.
Now, Stumptown and the Pancake Epidemic have a super special relationship ”not only have they been tight since Stumptown moved into L.A., but Stumptown worked with Pancake to open three cafes in Seoul, South Korea, last fall ”with Brandon providing all of the barista training. One of the top selling coffees? Aida Batlle’s. See how the interconnectivity works?
What better way to celebrate it that to release a never-before tasted collaboration coffee from Aida put together especially for Pancake and roasted by Stumptown? Talk about an unbelievable opportunity!

“This coffee is particularly special to me because I was lucky enough to be able to travel to El Salvador and become personally involved in the cherry-picking process as well as choosing the method of fermentation based on my own preferences,” Brandon told me. “While I was in El Salvador, I had the opportunity to eat coffee cherries right off of the tree, which inspired a renewed palate for me. I wanted to work with Aida and Stumptown to achieve a final product that retained as many of the flavors produced by the cherry itself as possible, resulting in the choice to do a Natural Process. I am as excited to taste this coffee as you are!”
