At Coffee Fest Portland this weekend, baristas can win big by pouring great art with Pacific Foods’ Coconut & Almond

The latte art competitions that Pacific Foods hosts at its trade show booths have become one of the top draws to shows like the Specialty Coffee Association of America, the recent New York Coffee Festival, and Coffee Fest events, including the one that starts today in Portland, Oregon, at the Oregon Convention Center.

Pacific’s Barista Series beverages, which include Almond and Coconut, are formulated specifically for baristas to steam in espresso-based drinks. Pacific worked closely with top baristas in the United States to develop beverages that would not only perform well and make silky, creamy foam for drinks, but would taste amazing, as well.

As a fun way to promote the Almond and Coconut beverages in the Pacific Barista Series, Pacific’s Deb Kaminsky came up with an awesome competition that takes place on an on-going basis at Pacific’s show booths. For Coffee Fest Portland this weekend, here’s how it’s going to work:

Attendees to Coffee Fest Portland are encouraged to stop by Pacific’s booth, #800, at any time during show hours (12 “5 p.m.) today or Saturday. Take a turn on the espresso machine to pour latte art using Pacific’s Almond, Coconut, or both! Your drink will be photographed, and added to the display of all entrants’ drinks.

On Sunday, judges including Barista Magazine publisher Kenneth R. Olson will evaluate the entries and choose the top three in both categories, Almond and Coconut.
