Really now, this is pretty much paradise. If all trade shows could be held in such an idyllic location as the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe’s World of Coffee event here in Nice, France, I suspect we would never get any work done. However, we are being very productive in the daytime, and we party at night, so it seems like a pretty good mix.

After a few days in London, which was rainy and cold and not at all like summer, it’s fantastic to be here in the sunshine by the sea. And the best part? Seeing coffee friends from all over the world. As I write this, I am seated at the bar at Cafes Richards’ booth on the show floor, watching Jen Marks, the Australian Latte Art Champion, practice for her competition time. So there are French people to my right, Aussies in front of me, Germans, Norwegians, Italians, and all other nationalities around me. It’s such a wonderful show.

To give you an idea of how things are going here, I’m posting photos from the show floor, as well as the hugely fun and totally awesome SCAE & Coffee Kids party last night, which was held on Hi Beach.
