On Friday, February 15, Slayer Espresso will host an event celebrating the 2018 New York Coffee Masters winner Remy Molina. As part of his victory, Remy won a Slayer espresso machine—and he’s coming to Seattle to get his prize and spend time with local coffee professionals.
If you don’t know Remy Molina, you should. “Representing Café Barakah and Costa Rica on a global stage, Remy competed against 13 other baristas from around the world to win the coveted Coffee Masters Championship last year,” says Ekta Tandon, the director of global marketing for Slayer. “During this special event (that is split into two sessions), we invite you to come and taste great coffees, get barista pro tips, and learn more about Remy’s journey to becoming 2018 Coffee Masters Champion. We welcome you to join us and share friendship, knowledge, and personal anecdotes from Remy’s winning journey!”
During the first session, folks can ask Remy questions about his victory over a coffee cupping—how he beat 13 other baristas in a series of coffee events and competitions to win his title. In the second session, the vibe will be more casual and provide a space for coffee folks to mingle and learn more about Remy and Slayer.
The event is free to attend at Callus in Seattle, but folks are encouraged to RSVP here.
