Described as “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” meets “Spellbound,” “Drip” follows Los Angeles’ most renowned baristas as they compete in the race toward the World Barista Championship. The focus of the Kickstarter campaign is to raise $50,000 total in crucial post-production money to cover editing, color correction, follow-up interviews, crew payments, audio licensing, and more.

œFar too often we forget to look at the people who create the things we love. I wanted to make a film that not only showed how artisanal coffee has become, but one that also shines a light on the craftsman who have devoted their lives to it, says director Rock Baijnauth. Referring to the campaign specifically, he continues, œWith it’s massive reach, Kickstarter has been a wonderful way for us to get people talking about our project and there’s this deep level of trust attached to the Kickstarter platform that is hard to find elsewhere.

The dollars and cents: "Drip" organizers are very upfront about the money they need to complete the project and what it will be used for.
