Urnex Ambassadors Program Debuts
Urnex Brands, Inc. has an industry-wide reputation for finding unprecedented ways to advocate for baristas, be they in the cafe or on the competition stage. For the past few years, Urnex has done this through generous financial sponsorship of the World Barista Championship (WBC) and other WCE contests. In 2015, however, Urnex will support the national barista competitors in a whole new way.
Today, the company announced the Urnex Global Barista Champions program, which will debut in Seattle in conjunction with the Specialty Coffee Association of America Event, at the WBC. œThe program is designed to recognizer and support the talents and technical expertise of selected national champion baristas from around the world, reads a press release issued today. œThe selected national champions will formally collaborate with Urnex in both a product development and endorsement relationship throughout 2015.
Participating baristas will be announced in the coming weeks leading up to the 2015 WBC, which takes place April 9 “12 in Seattle. During the Seattle event, these national barista champions will be featured alongside the Urnex booth (#11037) on the SCAA show floor, and on social media and at partner events.
œWe hope that our relationship with these skilled and proven champions will provide them with valuable support and help them to share their coffee knowledge, skills, and ideas with the world, says Urnex CEO Josh Dick.
