So you’ve probably heard about Daylight Mind Coffee Company by now ”it’s a fairly new coffee roasting company, cafe, bakery, and high-quality training lab situated in probably one of the best places ever: on the shores of the Big Island of Hawaii.

You’ve probably heard the name Daylight Mind because, even though the company is less than one year old, it’s already landed on some of the most elite, top 10/20/50 cafe and coffee lists in the country. And it’s no wonder with coffee Ph.d Shawn Steiman behind the project as one of the three founders.

So how’s you like to work for them? Yup, Daylight Mind is hiring. Here’s the job description. And please note: they’ll be conducting interviews during SCAA in Seattle, so if you want this opportunity, get in front of it!

Daylight Mind Coffee Company, a young and growing roastery/coffee bar/coffee school/restaurant/bakery in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, is seeking a coffee bar manager.   The manager will maintain the coffee bar and café seating area while working closely with the roaster and other managers in the building.  

Duties include hiring, training, and managing baristi, counting inventory, ordering goods, sustaining a geeky coffee culture, helping establish a national identity, being in charge of a simple alcohol program, working on bar, learning more about coffee, scheduling shifts, and additional miscellaneous duties. Also, the manager will have time to teach in the coffee school.

The position begins in mid-late June.
