WBC Day One Done – Day Two Begun

Day one finished in epic style yesterday with terrific performances by the baristas from Brazil, Mexico, Australia and Japan, surrounding a rousing, raucous reception for the hometown favorite, Lina Zea from right here in Bogota.

The stands were packed, and it felt more like a finals atmosphere than the first round. The audience has been very supportive of all the competitors and has really brought some energy to the competition, but it seems to grow throughout the day.

Here at the beginning of Day Two, we are still waiting for the stands to fill up, but I’m sure they will soon. The show floor hasn’t officially opened yet, but once it does we are going to get some of that great energy once again.

Here are some pics from the late performances yesterday.
