We started the week off on Monday with a report about Northern California-based Supersonic Coffee and a new movie they just released about an epic 9,000 mile road trip to their first 9 accounts across the U.S. and Canada. Tuesday we had a story on a new Kickstarter offered up by Andrew Gage of Velo Coffee Roasters in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Not only do they deliver coffee by bike, but one of their pledge levels will get you your own sweet ride. That brought us to Wednesday, and that means it was time for another round of our popular midweek trivia contest for fun and awesome swag: Humpday Giveaway! This week we had a beach bag, blanket and paddle ball set brought back from World Barista Championship in Rimini, Italy courtesy of espresso machine manufacturer Dalla Corte. Also on Wednesday we had a story on another kickstarter project, this one from Copper Door , Denver’s only woman-owned specialty roaster, and which is committed to using 100 percent, locally produced wind power to operate the business, including the roaster. Thursday we announced the Humpday Giveaway winner, and we had a story about a fun (and different) latte art throwdown out of the Silver State (held on Friday, August 1.) Hub Coffee Roasters held a great big area coffee party: Rosetta Roulette! Also on Friday we had a story about the growth of the coffee market in China. Of course in China that means coffee is literally growing and retailing continues to see great increases in consumers and sales.
